I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Former two-time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
